Hi everyone
It was great to see such a strong turnout at last night's Sydney Spring
User Group meeting. Congratulations to Adsen Iesho, who won a free place
at our Core Hibernate course (http://www.interface21.com/training).
Congratulations also to Yoann Trouillet, who won a book.
As announced last night, we're currently hiring extra consultants for
Interface21 Australasia. To find out more, please email or call me.
If you couldn't make it last night, you may be interested attending the
Sydney Java User Group on 22 November, where Rod will be speaking again.
The invitation from David Coldrick is below. Please RSVP to David
directly (David.Coldrick at Sun.COM) if you wish to attend.
Tomorrow night Rod and I will be in Brisbane, where we have more than
100 people registered for the Brisbane Spring User Group. We look
forward to seeing you there (more info at http://tinyurl.com/yya6sz).
Best regards
Ben Alex

For those of you in Sydney who - like me - missed the Spring User Group
meeting in Sydney last night, you have another chance to hear Rod
Johnson at the Sydney Java User Group meeting in a couple of weeks -
details below.
However, please be advised that space is limited, so you *must* register
via email beforehand.
Best regards,
David
The next meeting of the Sydney Java User Group is Wednesday 22nd
November, on the ground floor of 33 Berry St, North Sydney.
Refreshments 6:00-6:30, session starts at 6:30 sharp.
Our speaker is Dr Rod Johnson, who has been using Java on the
server-side since 1996. Besides being the founder of Spring Framework,
Rod is one of the world's leading authorities on Java and J2EE
development. Rod speaks at numerous international conferences including
ServerSide Symposium, JavaPolis, JAOO, JavaOne, JavaWorld, SpringOne and
Spring Experience. He is also a member of two JCP Expert Groups and
author of three best-selling books on J2EE. His experience covers a
range of industries, particularly finance, media and insurance. His
topic will be:
Simplifying Enterprise Applications with Spring 2.0 and AOP
===========================================================
Wouldn't it be good if we could always implement requirements
using the vocabulary in which we naturally talk about them? In this
session Rod Johnson will describe the new AOP support in Spring 2.0, how
it integrates with AspectJ, and how it fits in the construction of
enterprise applications. Using an example-driven approach, attendees
will learn how to simplify the implementation of many common enterprise
application requirements. The way you think about software may never be
the same again...
