Hello there
Welcome to the "Australasia Spring Interest" list. The purpose of this
new list is to communicate information of interest to the Spring
community in our region, such as local Spring user group meetings,
Spring-related events and Interface21 training courses. Spring is
gaining momentum in Australasia and we have nine events planned between
now and Christmas. This new list is the fastest way to hear about Spring
events in our region as they are announced.
I've added your email address to this list because you've either
provided past permission for me to do so, or you have attended a past
Spring user group meeting. The list home page is at
http://lists.interface21.com/listmanager/listinfo/australasia-spring-interest,
where you can unsubscribe at any time. This URL also appears at the
bottom of every email.
With the introduction complete, here are details of several upcoming
Spring-related events:
* There will be an EJA Industry Forum in Melbourne on Wednesday 18
October 2006. I will be presenting a session titled “Next-Generation
POJO Architectures: An Australian Case Study”. This presentation will
focus on domain driven architecture using Spring. Visit
http://www.ejv.org.au/events/2006/event06OCT18.html for more information.
* Another EJA Industry Forum will be held in Sydney on Thursday 19
October 2006. I will again be presenting the Australian POJO case study
session. Visit http://www.ejv.org.au/events/2006/event06OCT18.html for
more information.
* A new Core Spring training course has just been scheduled in Sydney
for 27-30 November 2006. Every past Sydney course has sold out, so I'd
encourage interested people to register early (this also secures an
early bird discount). Visit
http://interface21.com/training/eventDetails/2006/core-syd-4.html for
more information.
* Finally, the Spring Experience conference will be held in Florida
during 7-10 December 2006. More than 25 speakers will be presenting over
40 technical sessions. Last year's conference was superb, so I hope to
see you there! Visit http://www.thespringexperience.com for more
information.
If you have any questions about these events, please don't hesitate to
let me know. I'll send another email in a couple of weeks and let you
know about the events we have planned for November. Rod Johnson (the
father of Spring, who is based in London) will be presenting at most of
these events, so if you haven't had a chance to meet Rod in person,
these free events will provide a great opportunity to do so.
All the best
Ben Alex
